- Energy Efficiency in the Building Code
The Government of Alberta has released a new survey for public consultation on increasing Energy Efficiency in the Alberta Building Code. Once the Provincial Government has gathered the responses to this survey, they will prepare proposed changes to the Alberta Building Code in co-operation with the Safety Codes Council. Stakeholders and the public will have the opportunity to comment on these proposed changes in 2010.
The brief survey on Energy Efficiency in the Alberta Building Code asks the public to consider how the Code could be modified to reduce the drain on natural resources, decrease greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiency in new houses, both in the construction and long term maintenance of the home.
